Luqa Airport car rental and collection guide
Travellers often search for Luqa Airport car rental even though the official name is Malta International Airport. Both terms refer to the same airport area, identified by the code MLA.

The terminal is next to Luqa, south-west of Valletta. Search results, flight documents and road signs may use Malta International Airport, Malta Airport, Luqa Airport or MLA. Your Rental Car Malta voucher identifies the collection point as Park East Parking, Level 1.
Do not assume that every airport rental desk or car park uses the same handover procedure. Follow the instructions for the company named on your voucher.
Choosing a car for roads around Malta
A smaller car can be convenient for narrow streets and parking. Groups should balance passenger seats against luggage capacity; a seven-seat or nine-seat vehicle may still have limited boot space when every seat is occupied.
Choose manual or automatic transmission deliberately. If you are unfamiliar with driving on the left, an automatic may reduce the number of tasks competing for your attention, but availability and price vary.
